Medical Camp at Kali ki Dhal

April 16, 2017

DSF volunteers travelled 11 kilometers to the village of Kali ki Dhal to bring free medical care to those living in the area.  DSF has visited Kali ki Dhal several times before, so this was bringing a continuation of care previously lacking in the village.

Diseases treated included diabetes, cough/cold, acidity, joint pain, lower back pain, high blood pressure, skin diseases, worms, constipation, teeth issues, ear infections among children, and more.  A total of 135 patients were seen.

Volunteers led a demonstration on proper hygiene while there, showing the adults and children how to properly wash their hands and brush their teeth.  Free toothbrushes were handed out to the patients, and a few mothers and children were eager to brush right there!
