DSF’s Free Medical Care Camp – Ramjiwala, Yamkeshwar
December 21, 2016
The Divine Shakti Foundation’s Free Medical Care Camp visited Ramjiwala, Yamkeshwar, 41km from Rishikesh. This is a hilly-forest area with a population of 415 and one primary and junior school. There are no hospitals or medical shops in or near the village, so access to or from the nearest hospital is an arduous two-hour journey with a 4×4 vehicle under the best of conditions. 54 patients were treated. A variety of conditions were seen to such as high blood pressure, diabetes, lower back pain, worms, anemia, skin allergies, eye and ear diseases, joint pain, acidity and constipation, urinary infections, common cold, fever, asthma and leucorrhoea.
The Divine Shakti Foundation (DSF) shares its deep gratitude for its team of sevaks (volunteers), Jeet (London, UK) and Jyoti Sharma and Medical Camp Co-ordinator and Lead Dr Priya Singh, from Parmarth Niketan for serving selflessly in this camp.
