10 Days Free Cataract Eye Surgery Camp – A Step Towards Restoring Vision
November 16, 2024
Yesterday marked the beginning of a life-changing initiative at Swami Shukdevanand Charitable Hospital, where we launched a 10-day free Cataract Eye Surgery Camp, organized by the dedicated volunteers of DSF and Parmarth Niketan.
The camp was beautifully inaugurated by Param Pujya Swamiji, President of Parmarth Niketan, and has since been a beacon of hope for many underprivileged individuals. With the support of a skilled team of doctors from the UK and across India, patients are being tested, treated, and many are receiving surgeries on the same day or the following day.
After a one-day stay, patients are discharged with restored vision and grateful hearts. During their stay, they were provided with free saatvik meals to ensure their comfort.
Most of the beneficiaries were senior citizens who had suffered from cataracts due to aging, and this camp has truly been a boon to them. Their heartfelt thanks go to the doctors, volunteers, and everyone who made this possible.
This initiative is a reminder that Seva (selfless service) can change lives, and we look forward to doing much more for those in need.
