GIWA, DSF and Parmarth Niketan Serve During Kanwad Mela Yatra 2025

A month long event held at Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, situated near Rishikesh, during the Shravan month (July) every year. Devotees from all parts of our country arrive in Rishikesh, some on foot, to take the dharshan of Lord Shiva.
Devotees carry Ganga water , some on big vessels tied on sticks carried on their shoulders. This is called Kanwad. During this yatra, many fell sick due to sudden weather change and monsoon rain.
We, GIWA and Divine Shakti Foundation, with Parmarth Niketan, conduct a month-long Health Camp for the devotees who fell sick during their holy pilgrimage. Some get injuries and blisters during their long walk. Our health Camp serves as a helping hand for all of them, especially the elderly and children.
Along with this health camp, we also conduct activities that provoke awareness about Water, Sanitation, Hygiene, Pollution, Awareness about the river Ganga, Environment and effects of Pollution. Our camp is located at Neelkanth Mahadev Temple Road, Rishikesh. We sincerely believe that our divine service reaches thousands of hearts just like devotees prayers reach Mahadev.
