Interfaith Raksha Bandhan: रक्षाबन्धन के साथ मनायें वृक्षाबन्धन

The day before Raksha Bandhan an interfaith celebration was held in Delhi in which people from all major faith traditions of India and all walks of life enjoyed the festivities.

The event was done under the patronage of Mananiya Indresh Kumar​ who had requested Pujya Swamiji to grace and bless the event.

Also present on the occasion were Nigerian and Syrian Ambassadors, Amarjit Singh, Secretary of Namdhari Darbar, Maulana Kokab Mujtaba, Lama Jyotsapalji and many other special guests celebrated “World Raksha Bandhan Day,” which was especially dedicated to spread the message against female foeticide, dowry, corruption, terrorism, racism, sectarian and communal violence, intoxication, casteism, whilst spreading the message for world brotherhood, peace and welfare of human and nature.

The message of oneness and harmony was presented through various cultural programmes.

Special tribute and moment of silence was held for Former Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayeeji.

On this occasion, Mananiya Indresh Kumar, national campaigner and thinker said that the ‘Rakshbandhan festival’ is a celebration of human life values through which we can transmit the message of world peace and brotherhood to the whole world.

Pujya Swamiji called upon everyone to not only tie a rakhi as a symbol of protection to their brothers and relatives but also trees and pledge to protect Mother Earth.

Pujya Swamiji gave message of linking festivals with nature and environment to reduce pollution and said, “The thread of Rakhi is the thread of security and today it’s most essential to the plants, the rivers and the environment. When all of these are safe and pollution free, then humans can survive, therefore planting of trees is necessary for both present and future generations.”

Pujya Swamiji inspired hundreds of brothers and sisters and distinguished guests present to take the mission of Tree Bandhan. Everyone raised their hand and took the pledge.
