Reopening of Parmarth Naari Shashakti Kendra Centre for Excellence

It was such an incredible joy to gather at our Parmarth Naari Shashakti Kendra Centre for Excellence recently as Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji, President of the Divine Shakti Foundation, graced the reopening of the facility after the Covid crisis shuttered it for almost a year!
With the inspiration and blessing of HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji – Muniji, the Centre has completely transformed, thanks to the DSF teams that have worked diligently to revamp and expand both the school and the curriculum to offer a broader array of vocational training to an even larger community of Divine Shaktis – all stridently observing Covid containment protocols and striving to improve their lives for themselves and their families.
New programs in this new season of learning include stitching and embroidery, karate, yoga, and computer, with conversational English and Beautician classes scheduled to begin soon. More classes are planned for the near future – courses that will empower women living without opportunity that have sacrificed their dreams because of their disadvantaged circumstances.
The Centre’s programs are golden opportunities for a marginalized and underprivileged segment of society to fulfill their dreams of having a career to become independent and to live their lives with respect and honour. The simple act of participating in the various courses offered can and do boost the students’ confidence, providing them the dignity that only work and a sense of purpose can provide.
Joining Pujya Sadhviji for the re-opening were Parmarth Niketan Sevaks, including Ganga Nandini, Vandana Sharma, Pushplata Swarnkar, Rakesh Roushan, Naren Bisht, Upasana Joshi Patra, Swami Sevananda Saraswati, the amazing teachers of Prakash Bharathi and PNSK and so many others, without whom the re-opening would not have been possible.
A very special official inauguration has been planned for 14 March, in honour of Pujya Sadhviji’s milestone birthday. Stay tuned for highlights from the event!
