Free Eye Therapy Camp During Navratri
April 14, 2021
Blessing everyone on the occasion of the holy festival of Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, Nav Samvatsar 2078 and Navratri, a free Eye Therapy Camp was organized under the inspiration and with the blessing of HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji to offer no-cost eye therapy and examinations and spectacle and medicine distribution to contribute to a healthy, beautiful and divine world.
Pujya Swamiji, President of Parmarth Niketan and Founder of the Divine Shakti Foundation, greeted the Camp organizers, doctors and team-members for the traditional lamp lighting, then inaugurated and blessed the Camp by sharing that “health, education, food and housing are the basic necessities of life.
Providing health and education to all is very important. With India being the second largest population in the world, there is a lot of pressure on health services.” To ease that pressure, He continued, “selfless, committed and resourceful individuals need to come forward in the health sector because healthy living is the key to success of any individual. If any person wants to be successful in life, it is necessary for his/her body to be healthy first. Healthy citizens make a healthy, prosperous and safe Nation. Let us together contribute to the creation of a healthy society and healthy nation.”
The first day of the New Year is special for everyone in many ways. The New Year brings new rays of hope, so the beginning should be met with positive actions. It is believed that the first day of the year is a mirror of the whole year, so the New Year should always start with the best and only the best. Thus the Free Eye camp was organised under the aegis of Parmarth Niketan, with the support of Abha Bagrodia Charitable Trust, in partnership with the Mahavir Seva Sadan Mission, Kolkata, Global Interfaith WASH Alliance and DSF.
The service team of Dr Saurav Shaw, Shri Rajesh, Dr Rama ji and many others – as well as the Rishikumars and Sevaks of Parmarth Niketan – were outstanding contributors in this endeavour. Special thanks were given to Shri Vinod Bagrodiaji, the head of Mahavir Seva Sadan, who was not able to make it this time but with whose dedication and love the camp is organised every year. His service and initiative are deeply appreciated by all!
