Divine Shakti Foundation Medical Camp At Mohan Chatti

Divine Shakti Foundation Medical Camps are organized to provide vital and much-needed medical services to remote and rural areas of Uttarakhand and free check-ups, diagnosis and counseling services.
One of our most recent free medical camps – one especially dedicated to diabetic and dental patients – was held on 13th August, 2022, and was offered at Mohan Chatti, Pauri Garhwal with the blessings of Parmarth Niketan’s President and DSF’s Founder, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, and President of Divine Shakti Foundation Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji. It was organized under the joint aegis of DSF, Parmarth Niketan and National Medicos Organization – Seema Dental College and drew almost 300 patients and school children from Bairagarh, Sindoori, Mohanchatti, Jogiana and other villages in the region.
Mohan Chatti is approximately 19km from Parmarth Niketan Ashram, located across a small stream 1 km down a small path from the main road. Our volunteers expertly traversed the distance with the day’s medicine and equipment – something they were glad to do, especially when they say the looks of joy and appreciation on the villagers faces when they arrived! Thanks to the team’s tireless efforts, over 275 residents from 5 villages participated in the Camp – some of them receiving medical care for the very first time!
Dr. Vivek Sabharwal, Chandigarh, Dr Priya Parmar, Dr. Himanshu Aron, Dr. Amit Agarwal; Dr. Vivek Singh; Dr. Vishruta and a team of other doctors examined everyone who came to the camp, and free medicines were distributed to all in need of them.
Patients treated in the camp included male, female, and children of different age groups. Ailments included aches, pains, tooth pain, low BP, High BP, sugar, fever, cough, cold, and upset stomach.
In addition to treatment and medicines, the importance of oral and hand hygiene was explained to all participants through a video by the GIWA team, and they were encouraged to participate. Ruchi Roy Choudhury, Krishna Kumar Choudhary, Ramchandra Shah, Jyoti Bhatt, Rishabh Mishra and local representative Deepak Belwal all contributed to the camp, and plans are already in-place to make the visits more regular and to reach more villages and rural regions of Uttarakhand with these vital services.
