Pujya Swamiji in Nepal

May 6, 2015

Pujya Swamiji, President of Parmarth Niketan (Rishikesh), Inspiration behind Project Hope, Founder of Ganga Action Parivar and Co-founder of Global Interfaith WASH Alliance, recently visited Nepal to bless Project Hope’s relief and rehabilitation efforts as well as to inspire the Project Hope team who are tirelessly serving under His divine vision to help the survivors of the recent Earthquake.

During His visit, Pujya Swamiji personally distributed relief material such as tents, tripals, blankets, solar lanterns, clothes and other necessities to many remote villages in Nepal. Already two large trucks of relief materials have been dispatched from Rishikesh, with over 10,000 blankets, 10,000 water bottles, 50,000 packets of daily supplies, 5,000 tents as well as two trucks of foods supplies have been distributed.

During His visit He has also inspired the adoption of a village completely devastated from the earthquake. He directed the Project Hope team to facilitate and work with the community in Owner Driven Rehabilitation of the Village.
